PITT SEMS is dedicated to furthering the education of all students interested in pre-hospital care and emergency medicine including campus EMTs and Paramedics through skills labs and lectures from distinguished EMS providers. About The Classes |
Pitt SEMS offers two American Heart Association classes; Heartsaver First Aid and BLS CPR for the Health Care Provider.
The Heartsaver First Aid class is for individuals looking to learn what to do during an emergency. This class is perfect for teachers, babysitters, parents, students and any community member who wants to be prepared to help others. Students will learn how to recognize and treat:
The BLS CPR for the Health Care Provider course is for individuals looking to learn CPR in addition to other life-saving skills. About Our Instructors |
The Pitt SEMS instructor team is made of up AHA BLS CPR and First Aid certified instructors who have a passion for educating the general public in important life-saving skills such as CPR and basic first aid. All of our instructors are certified by the American Heart Association and work and or volunteer as EMTs in the community, bringing real life stories and experience into the classroom.
